Shari's Cancer Fight
Donation protected
This is my sister Shari Stinnett. She’s a mom. A Grandmother. A friend. A nurse. A bundle of energy. A force to be reckoned with. An Advocate. She’s made a life and career out of helping others. She’s the most selfless, generous person I know and has a heart of gold. She would give the shirt off her back to help anyone that she felt needed it more, or even less than she did. But now she’s in need. The tables have turned and she’s the one that needs help, she just isn’t the kind to ask for it. So I’m asking on her behalf.
After years of misdiagnosis and frankly just missing catching it altogether although it was attempted, Shari was recently diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Laryngeal Cancer with Mets Stage 4a. She has temporarily relocated to Houston, Tx in order to receive care at MD Anderson. She started this journey in late September and started Chemo and Immunotherapy on November 30th, and its already proving how difficult it makes the most seemingly simple parts of life. There will be many more Chemo/Immunotherapy treatments along with labs, surgical biopsy’s intermittently to evaluate progress and modify treatment as needed with a plan to do radiation following x 7 weeks five days a week.
Not to mention numerous appointments back to back for follow-up care/supportive care to manage symptoms.
Please help me in giving Shari a second chance to get up and get back to what she does best; helping others. I speak for others as I write this as I collaborated with others for feedback with words to say here. She’s so much to many, including an inspiration to us all right now. We’re humbled watching her go through the fight of her life with such faith, trust, grace, and her usual smile. If you know her, YOU KNOW!. That’s how it should be and how it should stay. At times like this, -it’s tragic to see the stress of money and medical bills shake our faith and focus. In short, if she doesn’t keep her medical balance low and paid treatments will be delayed. Please share this link and an encouraging word for her. Thank you for helping me keep her spirit strong.❤
