Sharon Atieno Odera Funeral Fund

It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the untimely death of Sharon Atieno Odera, the last born of the Late Prof. Henry Odera Oruka and Millicent Obaso who passed away on the 17th of May, 2019 in Washington DC, USA.
Sharon was found dead in her apartment in  SW Washington DC., The family is still working with investigators and awaiting the results of a toxicology results from medical examiners office to determine cause of death.  


Sharon is survived by her Mother Millicent Achieng Obaso and Sister Sheila Adhiambo Odera. Sister of the late Walter Owiso Odera. A niece to Maurice Oruka, Gaudencia Agaya, Prof. William and Esther Ogara, Pastor Samuel and Lucy Ojode of USA, the late Richard and Joyce Onyango, Dr. Maurice and the late Margaret Odindo, Prof. Herick and Beatrice Othieno, the late George and the late Risper Odongo, Joseph and Sylvia Ogutu, the Late James and Joyce Awange, Sixtus and Rubina.

Friends, It is her mothers wish that her remains go back to Kenya to her final resting place. We are therefore raising funds to offset the costs for the funeral and transport back to her beloved country. Details for burial date in Kenya will be made available soon.
