June 8, 2022, my wife Sharon went in for surgery. She had a spinal fusion that went wrong. The next morning we got the devastating news that her right leg was paralyzed. Before this, she was scheduled for a few days in the hospital. It turned out to be almost 4 additional weeks in the hospital physical therapy program. This did not help her. Sharon lost her job a year later from the intermediate school she worked at in dealing with ISS students. She is in physical therapy 3 times per week. She lost all feeling in her lower right foot. She is a loving caring person and a wonderful wife and friend.
To add to all of this, she broke two front teeth that evidently came loose under a porcelain bridge. Sharon had immediate root canal and an estimate from 3 different dentists for two teeth implants. This estimate was from $11000 to $16000.
During this time which is approaching a year, I put off surgery for my spine, and took over all household duties. My surgery is scheduled for early June because I can no longer tolerate the constant pain. The medical bills are mounting, and we do not want to sell our home at our age. We both are in our 70’s. We desperately need help.
