Sharon Doby's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Sharon Doby is FABULOUS, and the most loving person I know! If you know her, I'm sure you'll agree. She's much loved by her family, her church family at First Baptist Salisbury, her school family at Granite Quarry Elementary, and the many folks who have known her through the years through her association with Wink's Barbeque.
In July, Sharon started on a journey that she did not choose. She was diagnosed with cancer, and has begun the journey to healing through surgery and now chemotherapy. The treatment prescribed is 6 rounds of chemo, every 3 weeks. Treatments started August 12, and will continue through around Thanksgiving. Because her immune system will be compromised because of the chemotherapy, her doctor has told her she must stay out of work with those wonderful 1st graders at Granite Quarry. The risk of catching something, especially in these days of COVID-19, is too great.
Sharon's medical bills are already building, just a month into the journey. Unexpected expenses like two unforeseen surgeries and months of medical treatment are overwhelming. Using these funds will help her pay her medical bills, help pay for transportation to and from treatments and doctor's appointments, and will just help ends meet in this time of less work and more expenses.
Sharon is not one to leave her bills unpaid, and she has said, "I know God will take care of it somehow." You can be the "somehow" in Sharon's life! Can you take the love and generosity she's shown to so many and turn it back onto her?
