Sharon Okroy Organ Transplant Surgery
Donation protected
If ever there was a person to help, to support, to invest in, Shari is that deserving soul. She has overcome more struggles than most could even bear; starting with being deaf since childhood. Shari has lived her life with love, purpose and most of all faith. But today, she is facing the biggest challenge of her life, really more like a battle for her life... while being forced to battle medical insurance for her life.
Shari is being treated for liver disease which has rapidly progressed to the point of needing a multi-organ transplant. It may seem hard to believe, but my loving daughter, needs a transplant of her stomach, intestines, liver and pancreas. Medical insurance is denying her case calling this life-saving surgery experimental. If you have a child, you know what it is like watching them suffer. But imagine watching my daughter be forgotten, turned down.
The best doctors who have given us hope are all the way in Miami, Florida. Shari, and the family, is commuting. Shari is in Orlando so she goes back and forth for testing and maintenance to be listed on the transplant list for all of these multiple organs.
Any donations collected for this beautiful girl will help in the overwhelming medical expenses currently being incurred as well as the commuting/lodging for the testing and medical bills for an organ transplant. Additionally, funds will help with medical expenses and the need for lodging near the transplant center for a period of 3-6 months after the transplant surgery. All prayers and contributions are greatly appreciated on her behalf. She is in dire need of all our help.
Shari is a wife, loving daughter, aunt, sister, niece, a very dear friend to many, and a member of the deaf community. She deserves more than 49 years; we all deserve more time with Shari. Just know that your gift will not only help Shari, it will give her entire family the one thing we've been praying for for the last year. Donations are tax deductible so any assistance before Christmas would be appreciated.
Love, Linda (Shari's Mom)
