Sharon's Brain Surgery Expenses
Donation protected
Hello Everyone!!
As most of you already know a little over a year and a half ago, Sharon was diagnosed with having multiple Brain and Neck Tumors, also known as meningioma's. While they are slow growing tumors unlike cancer - fast growing, they are tumors just the same and they need to be dealt with.
She has had MRI's every 3 months since Feb 2014 and for about a year and half they were stable, but we knew that it was just a matter of time that they would start to grow again, and so they have.
The last MRI's in June showed that they all have grown except for luckily the neck tumors. With that being said the problem is that there are 2 tumors that are very large in her left frontal lobe, and if not removed can continue to grow and can cause permanent damage.
As risky as Brain Surgery is it is basically her best shot of getting rid of these large ones for good. So come August 26th, after a few hospital and doctors opinions we have put our trust in University of Penn Medicine. Her Neurosurgeon is one of the best // chairman on the entire neuroscience department at Penn.
Unfortunately with this comes expenses...out of pocket medical bills, (some of which are adding up now) ...everyday living expenses, we do not have long or short term disability. And her recovery, if all goes well, we are looking at a minimum of 6 weeks without pay.. Hopefully no longer but its possible, God hope it wont be longer. But with your help she can get this surgery and not have to worry about these bills.
So please help to raise 8,000.00 and note that this is only what is expected to be needed. Also want to note that Sharon has said she would like to give back money leftover to a foundation that has helped her pay a bill when she was first diagnosed. That would be the Breathing Room Foundation. Whatever you can donate, no donation is too small, would be greatly appreciated and pass this along to anyone you know that could help. Sharon is a fantastic person and wife and I don’t want her to ever feel a burden during her recovery.
Also at any time you wish to donate to them directly please go to www.breathingroomfoundation.com
Thank you all truly and sincerely!!
