“TO GIVE IS TO RECEIVE” 

That’s what Sharon always says… to her kids, to her family and to her friends…. Unfortunately, now SHARON NEEDS YOUR HELP…. 

Sharon has been a part-time realtor and physical therapist for over 25 years and has dedicated most of her life to her children and others providing her therapy skills and selfless time for others.  Sharon loves to help others whether it is to help someone in pain, sit and support someone in need, or provide physical therapy to a neighbor or friend…she always gives so much of herself.  She is a mom, a daughter and a sister. She cannot work now as her doctors say she is in a fragile situation and it is very dangerous to function at a normal capacity, as her spine is compressed and her severe spinal stenosis is too extreme and activity must be kept to a minimum prior surgery.   She is in a delicate situation.   She works independently so her family obtained private health insurance that they struggle to pay which is almost $800 a month to be sure they were covered if any unexpected event would occur…So… they assumed… Sharon discovered she needs an IMMEDIATE MULTI-LEVEL SURGERY OF HER CERVICAL SPINE ASAP that she CANNOT AFFORD… Her current insurance plan has NO HOSPITAL OR SURGERY COVERAGE… She is working to upgrade her policy but if even successful, she cannot cover the deductibles, excess premiums with limited coverage, MRI’s, out of work and the bills are already coming in… 

Unfortunately, after several visits and out of pocket costs to spinal surgeons, initial MRI, blood work…she is running out of time and her resources depleted… Since she has cord compression, bony osteophytes, and .5mm of severe cervical stenosis at multiple levels, she is already experiencing weakness, numbness, and burning in her fingers.  She is terrified of such a massive surgical procedure but more terrified since she CANNOT PAY for the surgery as PARALYSIS, LOSS OF BOWEL AND BLADDER, AND LOSS OF BALANCE IS HER NEXT FUTURE PROGNOSIS.  IF THE SURGERY IS NOT DONE, PERMANENT PARALYSIS IS THE HER FUTURE… 

Sharon has always selflessly given her time to help others with support both mentally and with her therapy skills to relieve pain, give motion, and restore function.  She always is silly in nature and treats all her patients as if they were family members.  Her motto has always been, “to give is to receive.”  She is devastated that she CAN’T FIX HERSELF as she so often does for others.  She is pained to see the fear in her own mother’s eyes as she worries for her daughter.  Her friends will be there to help but SURGERY FOR HER PROCEDURES ARE BEYOND HER SCOPE AND HER CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY.  After surgery, will be a long haul for recovery and out of work to heal.  She has one son in college and another in high school, household daily bills, and now surgery, medication, hospital alone estimated over $100K and rehab to follow that will be accumulating putting her more and more deeper into debt…She is too proud to ask for anything herself.  She paid her way through college, her kid’s education and worked 3 jobs whenever needed, now she can’t work and this is why her friends are hoping to spread the word…to give back to her….
