Sharon Roberto's Brain Tumor Battle

On July 25, 2023, our sister Sharon Roberto, was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor. She was taken by air ambulance from Medford, Oregon to San Francisco UCSF hospital on July 26th and had surgery to remove the tumor on July 27th. The expert surgeons at UCSF were able to remove 90% of her tumor but the remaining tumor will require an aggressive treatment regimen of Chemotherapy and radiation for months to come.

While Sharon emerged from her surgery with nearly all of her motor and mental skills intact, she is currently unable to focus her attention or engage with written or electronic media for any extended period of time without becoming fatigued and overwhelmed. Consequently, Sharon has been unable to work at her bookkeeping job since her diagnosis. Unfortunately, income from her job is necessary to make ends meet for her home and monthly necessities.

We have created this GoFundMe page to humbly ask for your help in covering the cost of Sharon’s medical expenses and monthly budget shortfall for at least the next six months so that she may concentrate fully on navigating her treatment and rebuilding her stamina. We are a “tight” family, and each of us; siblings, children, friends, and colleagues are pitching in as we are able to help Sharon with all the day-to-day details and tasks she is currently unable to manage.
