Sharon's Law School Tuition
Donation protected
Sharon Lamunu, a 24-year-old Ugandan law student, is hoping to graduate from law school this month. I had the privilege of working alongside Sharon in Uganda's prisons last summer. She is passionate about human rights and has dreams of making Uganda a better place through her legal work.
Sharon is the eldest child of a single mother, and unfortunately, her mother, the sole breadwinner for the family, is struggling with her health. Sharon and I have been in contact this past month as she has been working to raise money for tuition and petitioning her school to make an exception allowing her to graduate before paying for her tuition. Her school will not make an exception allowing her to graduate if she doesn't pay--and if she does not graduate, she cannot easily make money. She is still just over $4,000 short of graduating.
There was something so special about watching Sharon and other young Ugandan law students advocating for prisoners last summer. They are the future of their country, and they can help implement justice in the fabric of their country in a way outsiders can't.
Please help Sharon out if you can!
