Sarcoma Cancer: Sharon's Dream

Donation protected
My name is Jasmine and my mum Sharon was diagnosed with terminal Sarcoma Cancer in January 2014. The reason for setting up this page is so I can hopefully give my mum a small gift in return, for everything she has done for me and that is to raise enough funds to fly my mum to Paris, business class.

Sharon's Story:
In December 2013, Sharon, her husband Wayne and two daughters, Lauren and Jasmine went on a family holiday to Bali to welcome in the New Year. In the early hours of the morning, Sharon woke up to excrutiating pain in her back. Her family rushed her to hospital where she under went a number of tests and x-rays to determine the problem. Doctor's weren't certain of the cause of Sharon's pain, there was talk of a possible kidney stone but nothing was confirmed. After two nights in hospital and still no answer, Sharon's pain was kept under control and she was able to fly back home to Perth.

"Tradgedy should be utilized as a source of strength"

January 17th was the day Sharon was diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer. A very rare cancer that develops from soft tissue and bone that had poisoned my mum's body from head to toe. Hearing that my mum had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, was very difficult to deal with and I was in denial for many months. After numerous GP appointments, X-rays, MRI scans, Oncologist appointments and radiation treatment, my parents were dealing with on-going and very expensive medical bills. Their savings had been spent within 6 months. Sharon was unable to continue work and it wasn't long before her illness was affecting her day to day life, leaving Wayne no other choice but to become a full time carer for mum.

I remember recent radiation treatment my mum had, a side affect caused the cancer to swell up in her head. She said to me that night "The pain was worse than childbirth". Yet still do this day, she is more stronger than anyone else I know. My mum is an absolute angel.

Her dream is to go to Paris, but with her symptoms and my dad needing to care for her, they would have to travel business class. Mum's pain would be kept at a minimum, providing she is comfortable throughout the flight. If i could get her there by the end of June so I can meet her over there, that would be the icing on the cake. Making the most of it now while we can is the main priority.

Thank you for reading my story and to all those going through a similar circumstance, never give up hope.
