#SharonStrong Memorial Fund

My mom (Sharon) is many things to many people. Anyone that knows her can identify the true amount of love, compassion and generosity she has for others. She is an incredible mother, daughter, sister, co-worker and an all time animal lover. But unfortunately,  my mom cannot be everything she wants to right now.

On July 18th 2016, she received the news that no one wants to hear... possible metastasized cancer to the vertebra in her spine which is now affecting her legs. This past week she has undergone multiple tests, doctor's appointments and will continue this for the weeks/months to come. Today, 07/25/2016 we got the shocking confirmation that her PET scan results show an aggressive tumor on her pancreas which has also affected the lymph nodes and areas of the liver. The biopsy of her liver is set to take place early Wednesday morning. This additional test will help to confirm the cancer and her treatment procedures for the future. Chances are she will be unable to work as much as she had been hoping to, as she will undergo any treatments necessary to beat this horrible disease. Knowing my mom she is nothing but a FIGHTER and will not let anything stop her!

As a current Hospice nurse my mom cares for patients at the end of their lives. Her main responsibility is to help people live as comfortably and independently as possible and with the least amount of pain, in their final days. I want her to be able to continue to spread her gift of nursing with the world.

I am building  this page for those of you who have asked to help. I am hoping that this can help bring back the lovely smile to my mom's face again. Your support will provide resources for her care during this difficult time. I am hoping to raise enough money for tangible needs, medical bills and any medicine needed.  I would like to give my mom a sense of peace in knowing she doesn't have to stress about finances. I am asking all of you to be Sharon's angels and stand behind her. Let's help take some the financial burden off of her so she can purely focus on the golden road to recovery.
