Shasta Sherman's Breast Cancer Battle Fund
Donation protected
On June 3rd 2019 my best friend Shasta Sherman was diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts. Luckily, the odds of beating it is super good! But sadly the amount of money and the inconvenience of all the procedures will hurt her family financially. That's why I'm starting this GoFundMe for her and her family.
Shasta starts her first round of chemo on Friday, June 21st 2019, and as of right now she will have 6 rounds. Once the chemo is done, and they see the results they are hoping for, she will be having a Double Mastectomy. After the Mastectomy she will have to have immunotherapy to make sure the cancer stays away. So she will be battling this in 2019 as well as 2020.
Luckily, Shasta does have insurance, but I'm sure most of you know that, unfortunately, insurance doesn't cover everything. There are high deductibles and hard to bring in an income when you are ill. Thankfully she has an amazing partner Aaron who will also be taking many days off to take her to and from appointments, so that will be hard on them financially as well.
Shasta has been keeping an online journal that explains her whole story which you can see at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/shastasherman
If you are able to help donate that would be wonderful, if not please do not worry, it's understandable. Please feel free to leave her positive comments and also follow her on caringbridge.org for updates.
Thank you very much!
