Shattered ankle in move
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jerry, and most of you that visit this will know this story. I have been preparing for months to move from Oregon to Michigan to be near friends and family. After months, the day finally came to make the move. I paid my rent 6 months in advance, had money for the move and enough money to survive until I found a new job. So I packed up the van and headed out. Day 1 of the journey, I made it past the Rockies and stopped in northwest Wyoming for the night. The next morning I woke up to snow and decided to stay one more night. That day, I slipped on the ice and shattered my ankle on both sides and broke my leg. It required immediate reconstructive surgery. I was released the next day and told that I couldn't drive for 2 weeks. I was stuck in a $90 a night that was eating into my savings. After a week, I left and completed the drive home. Although very painful, I made it. Now I am here in Michigan, and left with no savings, I need a little help. I can barely walk (not at all without a walker) and doctors say there is at least a 3 month recovery before I will be able to work.
Please help. I have helped so many in the past, I could use a little help please. Whatever you can do is very much appreciated and I can even pay it back when I literally get back on my feet. Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering it.
