Shatterproof Breaking The Chains of Addiction

Tax deductible
On September 12th, 2019, the world of our team member, Mattie, was shaken when she received a call that changed everything. Her cousin Jacob, just 22 years old, lost his battle with addiction in an empty Walmart parking lot. Jacob was full of passion for music, drumming, and writing songs. He was a humble, funny, and incredibly talented soul. He deserved so much more, but addiction cut his journey short.

Sadly, Jacob's story is just one of thousands lost to drug abuse. Shatterproof, a non-profit organization, is working to raise awareness, provide education, offer treatment, and fight the addiction epidemic in America. Over 46 million Americans struggle with substance use disorders, and only 1 in 10 get the help they need. COVID-19 has worsened this crisis, leading to a 23% increase in alcohol addiction and a 16% spike in drug consumption. The toll is devastating, with overdose deaths surpassing homicides by 36.1%, claiming 83,558 lives in 2020. These are not just statistics; they're the lives, of families in desperate need.

Our goal is to raise $500 for Shatterproof, this money will make a profound impact on the lives of those battling addiction. Every dollar counts, whether it funds detox programs, therapy, or essential medication. Even a small $5 donation can offer hope and support to those in need. Your generosity can transform lives and pave the way for a brighter, addiction-free future. Together, we can make a difference.
