Shaughn and Linnea Calkins - NICU Journey

On April 21st, Linnea and Shaughn welcomed their two beautiful girls, Sofia Jayne and Sawyer Louise, a bit earlier than expected. They were ready to meet their mom and dad so they made their grand entrance at only 29 weeks! Mom, Dad, and the babies are doing as well as they can and taking it one day at a time. Sofia and Sawyer will require a NICU stay for the next 10+ weeks in Lebanon. Linnea and Shaughn have handled every minute with grace and strength and wouldn’t dream of asking for help… so we are asking for them! Touch is vital to the growth and development of babies and while Shaughn will have to go back to work, he will be driving back and forth to Leb daily. Linnea will be staying close by the hospital to be with the girls as much as possible. Linnea is a kick ass dental hygienist but does not have any paid leave which increases their need for help. We all know Linnea and Shaughn are incredible people who would help anyone at the drop of a hat and now it’s time for us to show them that we have their backs! Any little bit will help them battle through these next 10+ weeks. Thank you for showing up for the Calkins family of FOUR!
