Shaun Ball Family Support Fund

Shaun Ball passed away suddenly early in the morning on September 6, 2022, a tragic and unexpected loss that no one saw coming. He was in the pulpit at Fountain of Hope AME Church just days before, where he served as the Minister of Men’s Ministry. By all accounts, he looked the same, sounded the same, and seemed to be in good health. In the words that he spoke on that day, he acknowledged that each day is not promised, but a gift from the Lord. Shaun Ball was a gift to many and loved BIG during the 44 years that he was with us. We have created this funding campaign to honor that gift, and provide financial support to the beautiful family that is now without his bright light and heartwarming smile.

As Shaun’s wife and children adapt to life without their loving husband and father, there are many aspects of the Ball family’s daily crosses that we cannot control, as much as we would like to. But one thing that we CAN take off their plate is the stress of finances. Over the coming months and years, there will be the existing bills, funeral expenses, plus new costs for health insurance, reliable childcare, schooling help, cleaning help, etc. The KSU alumni of the Kappa Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha and Eta Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta are coming together with a goal in mind. We are launching this fundraiser in hopes of handling at least 3-6 months worth of expenses for the Ball family in order to allow time and space for them to grieve and plan next steps.
