Shauna Parker Memorial Fund

Thank you for visiting the Shauna Parker Memorial Fund Campaign. We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Shauna. As an expression of sympathy, remembrances can be made to the Shauna Parker Memorial Fund. All proceeds will benefit a breast cancer charitable organization chosen by Shauna's parents. The charity will be one that provides support to women who are warriors in the battle of breast cancer treatment and recovery.
About Shauna
Strength, Courage, and Resolve are three words that describe this amazing human being. She brought out the best in all who encountered her. Shauna Danielle Parker lost her long-standing battle with breast cancer on October 30, 2018, a few days after her 32nd birthday. She was a daughter, sister, mentor, friend, and most of all a fighter! To know Shauna is to love her. Her soul was positive and pure, and she always found the silver-lining in difficult situations.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated
Shauna joined the Tau Kappa chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in Spring 2007. Devotedly known as "Rem1x," Shauna remains Tau Kappa Chapter's one and only solo. She was a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and had a reputation for being the ray of light during dark times. Shauna embodied the ideals of Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service. Her genuineness was infectious and others would easily gravitate towards her. She was loved by many members of Greek-lettered organizations and had a special kinship bond with Spring 2007 initiates across the tri-state area. Shauna may have been a solo-act but her selflessness and willingness to give to others, even during her time of need, typifies her character. Her strength, determination, and tenacity inspired us all.
Rider University
As a Rider University student, Shauna was actively engaged with the community through her involvement in multiple student-led organizations. She graduated from Rider University in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Minor Concentration in Pre-Law. Upon graduation, Shauna worked as a paralegal in her home state of Maryland.
Words cannot adequately express our sadness. Shauna was an exceptional friend, loving daughter, and compassionate sister. Her memory will remain forever in our hearts. With your monetary contributions, we will be assured that her legacy will continue to have an impact on others. We are grateful for your generosity.
Shauna will be deeply missed.
Thank-You
