Shaun is a tough little Rucker, but he needs our help!

This is Shaun Rucker. To know him is to love him. Truly one of the nicest, gentlest souls around. Shaun is a loving husband and father, who along with his wife Sara, care for their own children and are also licensed foster parents.

Shaun is a talented musician and has been a staple involved in the local music scene here in Reno and has played in bands such as Drugknuckle, Stevedave and most recently, Engine Fire.

A year ago, Shaun developed a condition in his stomach that resulted in him enduring massive weight loss, multiple surgeries and a lack of physical strength making it impossible for him to work. He and Sara have had to fly several times to UC San Franciso to meet with specialists so he could undergo surgeries under emergency circumstances, where he wouldn't survive the drive. At one point, things got so dire, his wife was instructed by medical personnel to notify his family members that he might not make it through the night.

Shaun is a fighter though and the most positive person we know. Miraculously, he did in fact make it through the night. Shaun is still fighting and getting better every day. Unfortunately the multiple necessary trips to SF for treatment, cost the family more money than they could raise with Shaun being unable to work his job at Reno Harley Davidson. His travel for treatment required transportation, flights, hotel stays and surmounting medical bills that have left the family in need of financial assistance to pay their everyday living expenses. Shaun is on the mend and doctors anticipate his condition to be vastly improved by the end of the year, but we're hoping to raise enough money to get Shaun, who is our friend, husband, father, son and bandmate to the finish line.
