Shaun's Cancer Fight

As many of you know, Shaun has been fighting Cancer since being diagnosed in the fall of 2022. He has had endured 55 rounds of radiation, 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and 2 different rounds of immunotherapy. Shaun currently is struggling with agonizing back pain that is further impacting his day to day life. To add to the list of challenges, Shaun will now undergo two back to back surgeries, to remove masses that are pushing on his spinal cord.

Shaun has been a hero to many of his friends and family as he has travelled this road, with his head held high, committing to living each day with gratitude, perseverance, and taking pride in being the best dad he can be; all while battling this aggressive disease. Throughout it all Shaun has been a beacon of positivity! So much so, that one point, he joined forces with a cancer survivor friend in Saskatoon; speaking up and advocating to the SHA, for better parking conditions for cancer patients with great success! Shaun did this selflessly for other patients as he could see their struggles, without thinking of his own.

With this upcoming surgery, Shaun will not be able to work, for a few months, at best. Shaun has been independently maintaining his necessities and every day living needs, while working part time which gave him a sense of purpose. Unfortunately this surgery will further limit his income, and increase dependency while he heals. Shaun is man of great pride, and struggles to ask for help as he has such a giving soul!

Because of Shaun's ability to give back to his community while he faced this life altering disease, we would like to help decrease Shaun's financial worries, so he can focus on healing over the next few months.
