Shaun's Journey Against Myeloid Leukemia

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Last August, I had the privilege to travel with my dear friend Shaun through South India. Her spirit of adventure and kindness created deep bonds with everyone she met. Those who know her, understand; those who don’t, she is a truly special person and I hope you have a chance to meet her one day. Not long after we returned, last October, Shaun was met with a harsh reality. She was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Since then, she has embarked on a courageous battle against this relentless disease, enduring numerous hospital stays and countless outpatient visits for chemotherapy and treatment.

Throughout it all, Shaun has shown incredible strength and resilience. Her unwavering determination to fight against leukemia has inspired all who know her. However, the financial burden of her treatment has taken its toll, especially since her insurance changed at the start of the new year, leaving her with a sky-high deductible and additional unforeseen expenses.

Currently, Shaun is undergoing treatment for a bone marrow transplant, a vital step in her journey towards recovery. As she prepares for this life-saving procedure, we are reaching out to our community for support. We are aiming to raise $5,000 to alleviate the financial strain on Shaun over the next 6-9 months.
