Annie's Hair Shaving For Gympanzees!

Thanks so much for helping me to reach my initial goal, now it's amazing that I'm able to raise even more funds! :)

Hi there! I'm Anandita K and I like to be known as Annie and I'm 16 years old. To help raise money for Gympanzees I shaved my hair on the 15th February. As an autistic person, I made the beneficial decision to do this because of my own personal sensory difficulties whilst also being able to raise funds for a wonderful charity along the way which is so close to my own heart. :)

I want to personally thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and for your contribution to this cause which means so incredibly much to me, it's greatly appreciated. Thank you to each and every one of you! :)

Would you like to join me in helping more disabled children and young people like myself access play, fun and fitness? I'm raising money for the charity Gympanzees so they are able to support more people and to one day build a permanent home. Every single donation will help and will be really appreciated!

They support children and young people (0-25yrs) with sensory, physical, learning difficulties, SEN and any mild to profound disability to access fun and fitness. So many disabled children and young people like me struggle to access inclusive play, fitness and leisure activities, but thanks to Gympanzees we're able to exercise, play and socialise together.

Gympanzees are a huge part of my life! I always look forward to interacting with them all year round whether it be by using their resources online or by attending their Pop Ups in person. I especially enjoy attending their Pop Ups every time because they're so much fun: I always want to come back again and again. Plus their sessions help to reduce isolation in all forms for me and my family, we can spend time together and they give me an amazing space where I feel safe, accepted and encouraged to be myself. Also everybody at Gympanzees is so lovely and welcoming. And because of these sessions, I now even feel confident enough to access disability friendly leisure and fitness in the community whereas before these were huge barriers to me.

I hope we can all help this amazing charity Gympanzees to support even more people, and hopefully one day they can build a permanent home, let's do this!

Many thanks
Lots of love, Annie. <3
