shaving my hair for young carers

Hi im milly/melissa im 15 and im going to shave my hair off and hopefully raise some money for young carers!

Young carers is this amazing charity, if you haven’t heard of it then let me fill you in.. they are a group that allows young people who have to care/look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled, has a mental health condition or misuses drugs or alcohol. These young aspiring people help with younger/older people with little to no support of other people.However, young carers is a space where we can feel safe to talk about our struggles with other young children who are dealing with similar situations as us.

Young carers have been there for me        since i was tiny, they’ve spoilt me, took   me on trips that i never could’ve dreamed of and I’ve made the most amazing          friends along the way!!

I myself have had to help care and be there for my older brother Mathew. He has ADHD and Autism and there has been many difficulties that I’ve been put in the middle of, there has been many events thatI was excited to go to that had to be cancelled as Mathew only likes certain routines etc. Lockdown has been an especially difficult time for us a family as we don’t have a big house at all and Mathew doesn’t like it when we get in his way. There has been multiple arguments and rows because of the changes in routine but Young carers have helped me HUGE amounts, they’ve done active zoom calls and check ups on my mental health so thank you so so so much!!

it’s time too do my bit and give back to them so if you don’t mind please can you donate anything small and help me reach my target?
