Shawn aka Little Brother motorcycle accident

Hello, my name is Shawn. Im raising funds for an emergency that I was involved in. On Monday 4/3/23 I was leaving work on my lunch break on my motorcycle when a young lady pulled out in front of me and I t-boned her car. This took place in my workplace parking lot.

I since have already undergone 2 surgeries with a third predicted in the future for bone grafting. I broke my Tibia and Fibula and this was a compound fracture. I've had a great deal of bone loss due to how dirty and potentially compromised the bone was from the accident. For 8 weeks I have a non-weight-bearing order for healing.

After 8 days of being in the hospital, I was discharged and was able to leave the hospital but I could not go to my house due to there being stairs up and down just to get to my front door. So, 4 hours after being discharged I ended up back in the ambulance due to getting a double pulmonary embolism (blood clots) in my lungs. This caused to me have a seizure in my short time being out of the hospital.

I am a single dad with a teenager at home who is trying their best to keep things afloat while I am laid up for all this time. I have applied for a leave of absence from my job, however, this will at max only be 60% of my pay. When I leave here I will be going to a rehabilitation facility to now strengthen my lungs and work on my mobility. After that 2 week stay, I will again be discharged but still can not go back to my own home.
