Shawn Dobbins' Recovery from a Broken Leg
Donation protected
On January 27th, our good friend and overall great guy, Shawn Dobbins, broke the femur in his left leg from an accident at his house. As most of you know, Shawn is wheelchair bound and is missing his other leg from a bad car accident he sustained years ago. Shawn was transported to York hospital where they put his leg into a cast. His leg will be immobile for the next 8 to 12 weeks, which will mean using his wheelchair on his own will be impossible.
Shawn is currently in Chambersburg hospital as they are trying to figure out if they are even able to have his home functional for him to go back to. His landlord had to put in a new French back door in his house to try to make it easier for him to get into. A ramp will also need to be installed before he can get into his house. Also, the bathroom in his house is on the second floor so he may not have access to it if forced to stay on the first floor. Alternate housing means are being looked into as well.
This fundraiser is being setup to help Shawn with all the medical bills he is facing as well as all the home improvements that are being made before he is even allowed to go home or finding a suitable place for him to stay.
Shawn is a single father and both of his kids live with him and rely on him so any help you can give will help them as well.
Shawn has a long road to recovery ahead of him and will need all the support he can get.
