Help Shawn Elizabeth after the loss of Tony Fox

It was three years ago on December 17, 2020 when our adored drummer had his first stroke that impaired his life and forever changed the journey he and his beloved lady Shawn Elizabeth were navigating in life. Together the duo had entertained the ears, hearts and eyes of thousands with their music talent. They, together, formed the beyond talented and entertaining band called the Bandura Gypsies. Together they traveled throughout the state and poured their passion of music with every note played on their instruments and lyrics they wrote to uplift and impact all that came to watch them perform.

They were a team that had the biggest of dreams until the stroke occurred.

When the stroke occurred, their income came to a halt. Shawn Elizabeth went from being a performer on stage to suddenly learning how to care for the man she has loved and stood by for over 25 years. Her income shifted from entertaining all of us with her melodious voice to becoming a state paid caregiver for her beloved Drummer Boy. (Side note: Tony is in the Michigan Music Hall of Fame for his drumming talent)

When Tony entered the hospital, their income that kept them afloat was severed. Shawn Elizabeth has been an example of what love and devotion is between two hearts that beat as one for 25 plus years. She never left his side for the past 3 years that held each as prisoners to the terrible effects a stroke can impair on a human. She advocated for Tony when odds stacked against him and never gave up fighting to get the best care and services for the man that held her heart for decades.

Tony lost the fight on December 18, 2023.

We are hoping to reach the goal set above to allow monies for Shawn to lean on through her healing and loss of the man that completed her. We are hoping to give her a couple months worth of income to sustain her while she figures out her next step of building a new identity without the love of her life. To allow her to search for a job that will allow her to grow in the talents she can help change the world with. The Gypsies brought so much inspiration, Joy and beauty to thousands…. Can we give back and show her how much we love and want her to succeed?

Any amount would be a help and tremendous blessing …. And a huge relief to her very stressed and worried world of “What Now??” without her soulmate by her side.
