Whether it's a stroke, a bad fall, breast cancer, or an incurable rare skin disease, when a significant other, the only provider in the home at this time, the father of four with one on the way.. When he becomes ill, your life instantly changes. Suddenly, you find yourself on an emotional roller coaster-One second you feel angry, the next, overwhelmed, stressed or upset.  All of these reactions are instinctual and natural. Dealing with this is difficult, and no matter what people tell you or what you read in any article, it's hard to actually prepare. You can't prepare for the unknown! You don't prepare for unexpected events.  How do I prepare my sister and my four nieces of the unknown future? My brother in law Shawn took a fall that will impact their lives for many months to come. Doctors are telling him it will take 12-18 months before he's back on his feet,  living his daily routines. The surgery and medical needs to come, the physical therapy, the months out of work because of the accident- the lack of financials they are about to face scares me. These are all things I'm trying so hard to help them prepare for. Will you please take them into your hearts, pray for the best possible outcome and if you have a little extra to donate to their family during this time, it would be so greatly appreciated! I want to do my best to help their family keep living close to the life they have been until he's back on his feet and working again!
