Shawn Matthews Memorial and Reward for Information

In the early morning hours of March 21, 2024, our friend, Shawn Ryan Matthews, was struck and killed in a hit and run by a white Ford Explorer (2016-2019) near the 120 block of Northwest 40th Street in Boca Raton, FL, near the intersection of Dixie Hwy and Spanish River Blvd.

Shawn was a former collegiate distance runner, an avid cyclist, and a science enthusiast. He was true to Atlanta , but he absolutely loved his life in South Florida. Even if he had just a few hours of sleep, and you with fresh legs and a full 8 hours, needed a running partner, he’d be the first to join you without a single complaint while asking consistent questions about the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. A selfless friend, brother, and son who gave laughs and smiles freely.

We are raising funds to offer a reward for any information that leads to an arrest in the untimely death of our friend, as well as to cover costs for his memorial.
