Shawn Michael Rust

Hello. My name is Melissa. My brother in law, Shawn Michael Rust, 43, of Seaman, passed away at 3:37 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024. He was born in Wesel, Germany, on November 26, 1980. The family is fundraising to help offset the cost of his funeral expenses. His death was unexpected and he did not have life insurance.

Shawn was a Firefighter for Scott Township Fire and EMS. He enjoyed building models, tinkering with mechanical objects and was a huge fan of sci-fi.

Shawn was loved by many and committed his life to helping and saving others. Shawn left behind a daughter, his parents, siblings, girlfriend, step children, family, and friends.

Shawn‘S visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at E.C. Nurre Funeral Homes, 177 W. Main Street, Amelia, OH, 45102, where Pastor Charles Roberts will lead a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
