Shawn Nupolu & Family

Hi, my name is Coach Flynn, I am a 7on7 football coach for Level Up. We are fundraising today for one of our athletes, Shawn Nupolu in hopes to raise money for his family and bring awareness to his situation.

Shawn visited his home country in Africa 2 weeks ago for the first time in 8 years to see his family. Shawn was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after complaints of not feeling well. He was then flown to Iowa City Children’s Hospital where he is being treated for Malaria, which the doctors believe he contracted while overseas. Shawn is in critical condition and fighting for his life.

Your donations will go to Shawn and his family to alleviate the expenses of hospital bills + anything they may require assistance with during this unbelievably challenging time.

A little more about Shawn:

Shawn was born in Liberia Aug 16 2008 before moving to the US. Shawn is in 8th grade and goes to Roosevelt Middle School & plans on attending Jefferson HS. He is a multi sport athlete with a particular love for soccer and football. He has several siblings and a large extended family in Cedar Rapids. Shawn is every coaches dream- Kind, compassionate, appreciative, humble, hard working & a fun person to be around.
