As you all may or may not know, I am a born and raised Canadian Musician. Coming from a large musical family that has experienced both highs and lows in the industry, I have opted to persevere and push forward with my dream.
Since releasing my third studio single "I Don't Wanna Go There" in December 2020, I have ACCEPTED a development deal from SSM NASHVILLE RECORDS... so exciting!!! This is a dream come true for most artists including myself and I don't want to let the opportunity pass me by.
The deal consists of working with professionals who have been in the business for 40+ years. I will be recording 5 new songs, with one of them being promoted exclusively throughout the US and the UK. If the single is a success, there will be a radio tour across the US and much much more!
While certain musical costs are covered as part of the deal, travel and other expenses in the industry still remain. This will include me needing to travel there with no income until my music starts bringing in money. Along with the rules and regulations of covid-19 and quarantining, this makes it almost impossible to work or earn money in the mean time.
It is a big leap to drop so many things in my life and go follow this dream, but with this once in a lifetime opportunity that most artists don't get the chance at, I can't turn this opportunity down. I have decided that my pride lies with my passion and it is worth a shot to reach out for help.
My community has been tremendously supportive over the years and I know I can count on that to continue whether it be through donating, sharing this post or just the moral support I may need from time to time ;).
