Shawna and Mase - Hit and Run Victims

On Tuesday (2-7-23), around 6:30 in the evening, Shawna was walking Mase for their usual neighborhood walk.

While crossing in the crosswalk on Dyer Ave, they were both victims of a hit and run. Shawna suffered from a broken femur, and pelvis. She already received one surgery and may require more. Thankfully, both Shawna and Mase are home and recovering. Thankfully, Mase had no broken bones. He did suffer from bruising in his lungs and hips...was oxygen dependent with contusions/abrasions. He stayed by Shawna's side after the incident.

However, they are now faced with multiple bills. The bill for Mase alone is $2,809.99

As a disabled stay at home mother, Shawna and her family (husband Tim and son Carter) are a one income family and Tim is going to be taking time out of work to care for Shawna.
