Shawna Calhoun

Hi, my name is Heather. I’m asking for any help possible to assist my sister Shawna in her time of need. She has a tumor & her vision is gone, she had surgery back in March to remove the tumor but due to where it’s at & the nerves are wrapping around the tumor & squeezing it they were unable to remove it fully. She has been off work since March due to the fact that she can’t see to work. Her husband is the sole provider now & they’re struggling to keep up on the bills & pay for gas for her appointments in Peoria & now Chicago as well. She’s trying to get public assistance but has not heard back. She’s trying to get disability due to being unable to work but they’re saying it’ll be February before they even look at her case then it’ll be a few months after that before she gets a check IF they approve it. She’s been going back & forth to Peoria since March for appointments & now back & forth to Chicago as well. She’s only 48 but seems much older by how much her health has deteriorated in the past months. She’s always worked to support her family & this is extremely devastating. Any amount you could donate would be greatly appreciated or even just a share.
