Shawna was in a horrible car accident

Donation protected
Shawna just started her senior year and Shawna was so excited to have her new car to drive to school. She worked countless hours at Dunkin Doughnuts every weekend and many weekdays to earn enough to purchase this car. She put off hanging out with friends and doing a lot of social activities to work as much as possible to save up money. She finally got this car on the road just last week, and has driven it to school since Monday. This morning when Shawna was leaving our neighborhood to drive to school something horrible happened. As she was pulling out of our housing development onto a main busy road, a man driving a lifted black ram pick up truck smashed into her at full speed causing Shawnas car to spin and combust. One of her friends saw the accident and ran to the crash to pull Shawna from her desecrated car. A few bystanders were able to help and get her out the passenger side door as her driver side was completely crushed and unable to be opened. As a mother I received a call that no mother wants to get, my daughter was in a very bad crash and I needed to get there immediately. A million things ran through my mind as I stumbled out the door, but thank God Shawna was OK. When they say you have a guardian angel this most certainly is true, because somebody was definitely watching over Shawna this morning. The rescue team said they assumed they would need to cut Shawna out. The fact that she is leaving this accident with some cuts and bruises is a blessing and almost unheard of. Because Shawna is only 17, just basic liability insurance was almost $300 a month. Unfortunately, that’s all Shawna had on her car and now has nothing. The car is totaled. Shawna will be forever changed from this accident and will probably drive for the rest of her life with anxiety. I am making this gofundme on her behalf so that maybe she can get help to get another car. This kid doesn’t deserve this, and I am hoping and praying that she gets a little help. At the end of the day a car is just a car, Shawna‘s life is worth a lot more, and thank God she still has her life today. Shawna is one thing that is irreplaceable.
