Shawnee Loop FKT for Food - Connection - Hope
Tax deductible
The coronavirus has taken away 3 things that are essential to humanity: food, connection, and hope. Many who are entering a financial crisis as a result of the crisis will struggle to eat, all of us are forced to reduce our connection with others to slow the spread of the virus, and as a result we are all lacking hope. So much hope comes from spring racing season, so I have created a goal to set the record for the ~36 mile Shawnee Backpack Loop Fastest Known Time in place of the Flying Pig Marathon that has been cancelled. I encourage those who have the financial means to donate to my cause: The Freestore Foodbank who works to fight hunger in my new hometown of Cincinnati. Their motto is food - connection - hope. Alternatively, I encourage you to set a goal for yourself that doesn't require getting together with a large group of people. Just because we can't do all of the things we love, doesn't mean we can't love each other virtually and create goals that will give us reasons to hope during this time!
