Shawn Howard - Honoring Our Friend

On January 31st, a light went out. The world became a less funny, sarcastic place with the sudden loss of Shawn Howard, one of our dearest friends.  It is rare to come across someone who could make such an impression on the lives of so many people.  Whether you knew him for 10 years or 10 minutes, he made an impact on everyone who crossed his path.  His laugh, his smile, his compassion and, of course, his great big sweaty hugs could soften even the hardest of hearts.  He could compliment you in the most meaningful way and then turn around and tell you that your hair was such a disaster, even the Red Cross wouldn’t give it any coffee.  He perfected the stink eye and bitchy resting face, but when you needed someone to lean on, he was the first in line.  We are thankful for the memories we created but mourn the absence of memories to be made with him in the future.

Beyond our grief, there is a reality you cannot prepare for with tragic events like this.  This fund has been created to support Shawn’s family as they cope with their loss and the financial burden that accompanies it.  Every donation counts—no matter the size—and will go to help Shawn’s family during this difficult time.
