Help Peter get Top Surgery

Hey. My name is Peter Roman. 

I've been out as Transgender FtM since I was 12. I've always been dreaming of the day I could continue medically with my transition. I've always know I wanted hormones and top surgery but it wasn't something I could do yet as I was young. I did socially transition when I was 12 by cutting my hair and dressing masculine and going by my preferred name and pronouns but I always felt out of place and uncomfortable with my body. 

 

I'm 18 years old now. When I was 16 I got told I had to be 17 to be referred to the NHS Gender Clinic near me as it was adults only.

 

When I was finally 17 I got referred and it was only a 2 year wait at the time. I could manage that but now at 18 after a year of waiting its now going to be another 3 years and they said it's just going to possibly keep increasing and that's only for the first appointment.

 

I took some time to research and think about can I wait another 3 possibly more years just for one appointment and then wait who knows how long to get onto hormones and get surgery done or do I pay out of my limited pocket, take as many work shifts as I can and save every penny to pay for hormones and surgery that will make me feel free and comfortable in the body and skin I hate so much.

 

I did decide to go private after some thinking and researching. I can pay for the referrals, the hormone set up and the hormones for 2 years but im going to struggle getting the money for the surgery.

 

Its been a dream of mine since I was 12 when I came out as Transgender FtM to get top surgery. That's 6 years which is a long time especially spending all that time hating your body and the very skin you have to wake up and live with every day.

 

I had a psychiatrist diagnosis me with gender dysphoria on the 22nd of September. I only had to wait 6 weeks to get the appointment as I had to be over 18 for them to assess me. It's so insane to me that I've waited a year and would of waited another 3 plus years to get this appointment from the NHS but going privately I could of had it within 3 weeks if I was 18 but I had to add another 3 weeks on to push me to the 18 age. No complaint, the 6 weeks flew over compared to the years I've waited for that day.

 

I got my gender diagnosis and I'm now waiting to hear back from an email for the clinic to get my hormone consulate appointment booked in and to start the hormones. After 6 months of hormones I can get my surgery booked in which is really getting me excited now I have the diagnosis and am finally taking the steps to hormones then to surgery after years of dreaming of this moment.

 

I've asked work to fit me into every and any shifts they can give me as to earn as much money as possible which i save every penny off for the surgery cost while trying to balance my college classes around working too.

 

I am asking if you have any pennies spare to please donate and fund me. If you arent able to donate don't worry I appreciate you taking the time to read and you can help in other ways.

I definitely don't know that many people meaning I am asking mostly strangers if they'd be kind enough to donate for my cause or share to anyone and everyone they know in the chance they might donate.

I do work and get some money from working weekends which I do to earn money to raise for hormone prescription, appointments and surgery all of it for appointments, hormones for two years and surgery will cost me 10500 all together and I wanna also chnsge my gender legally too which will cost I'm pretty sure. But I'm only setting a goal of 5000 as I wanna earn most of my surgery money yself through my job. The money I raise here will be used towards it along with all the wage I have made so far from starting to work. I realised workingnonly weekends due to my college schedule wasn't getting me much a month.
