She Went to War, Going to DC!

Women. Veterans. Combat.
(And decent hotel rooms)
She Went To War is a four-person play written, directed and produced by The Telling Project, performed in 2017 to three weekends of sold out houses at the renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. "Absolutely riveting, emotional and honorable," stated theater critic Graydon Royce in the StarTribune.
Here's the thing: these are not professional actors. These are female veterans who served in combat and want to talk about it. And are really, really good at talking about it.
She Went To War has been invited to Washington, DC, to perform as part of the Veterans History Project's 20th anniversary event on November 7, 2019 in the magnificent Jefferson Room of the Library of Congress. These women now have the opportunity to bring their truths to the nation's capital.
We need your help. Every one of the cast and crew has agreed to pay for their own airfare and meals. We're asking you to assist with a roof over their heads - and I don't know if you've been to DC during Congressional session, but it ain't cheap. The money raised here will assure that these extraordinary folks get decent beds for the three nights they are there.
Thank you for your support, and for sharing this with others who you think might help.
