Sheedy Memorials.

Hello family,
My name is Rita Sproal (Willis) and Jack Willis was my father. His parents were Bill and Lottie Willis ( Sheedy). His grandparents were Martin and Margaret Sheedy (Gallagher), also known as Old Mammy. They had nine children.
Recently, on the sad occasion of the burial of my much loved aunty, Mickey O'Brien, at Tower Hill cemetery, I asked my cousin Jinny Fawcett where our great grandparents were buried. I was saddened and dismayed to hear that they were in an unmarked grave down in the south west corner near the highway. Jinny always said that if she won tattslotto she would give them a headstone.
I started thinking about how we as a family could get them a headstone, and wondered if anyone else thought it was a good idea. I have contacted the secretary of the cemetery, Tracey Brady who sent photos and advised me of the lawn plot where they are buried together. We spoke to Corey Brittain from Thomas Memorials and he said it would cost 3-4k to do a headstone.
In order to do this, I have set up this Go Fund Me campaign, where individuals can contribute directly. In reality, we would need for example, 60 people to donate $50 or variations there of. In the event the money raised isn't sufficient, utilising this platform allows donations to be refunded back to the donors.
I have heard that there is another family reunion in the pipeline for early next year. Unveiling the headstone for all to see would be a fitting celebration of us as a family.
For those family members who are not likely to see this, can you please 'keep them in the loop' so that they too can be involved if they wish?
Thanks,
Rita Sproal
