Help Fund Sheep - A Wesleyan Thesis Film

Donation protected
Sheep is a psychological thriller and parable.

In the wake of his mother Moira's coma, Mikhael is invited by his father, Jeff, to go on a backpacking trip to the top of a local peak. As the journey progresses, Mikhael's faith in God and his father is tested as he realizes Jeff will do anything to bring Moira back.

Sheep will film across a variety of locations in Connecticut in late October and early November, just in time to capture the beauty of Fall which will provide texture and color to a dark narrative full of twists and turns.

This film will explore the nuances of religious violence, paternity, and the impact of values on worldly perception.

Our budget will primarily go toward renting lenses and production design, covering post-production expenses like color-grading/sound-mixing, insurance, and feeding our actors and crew. We have also allocated funding to pay for our actors to come from NYC to CT.

About the Director:
Marshall Schulman is a writer-director from Los Angeles, California, currently attending Wesleyan University.

He understands the importance of safety, responsibility, and time management in film. He has worked as a director on short films, as a cinematographer on Teenie last semester(which recently premiered at The New York Shorts International Film Festival), and as a gaffer on a variety of projects starting his freshman year.

Furthermore, he has worked as a production assistant on professional sets and AFI thesis films in LA. Last summer, he assisted a producer-director in LA, where he learned about narrative, budgeting, and organization, with a strong emphasis on safety and accountability. These experiences showed him how to run a productive set where everyone is safe, comfortable, and working toward a common goal.
