My names Annette, but for all the little readers, it's Mrs. Annie.
I read an inspiring story of a dad who out of concern for children that are hospitalized and confined to their beds, made board game bed sheets. He wanted children to be entertained from the comforts of their own bed.
As a self-published children's book author, it inspired me to literally take books to bed. Instead of going to sleep with a cellphone, tablet, I-Pad, or the television, children will go to bed with Mrs. Annie's "Sheet Tales, Story-Time Comforters and Story Spreads!"
My books and hopefully others, will leave the shelves and wrap themselves around the beds and bodies of children all over the world!
The pages of my books would be an actual part of the sheets, comforters and spreads! Children will be able to turn the actual pages, as their minds drifts off into Dream Land.
It is my dream that not only babies and children who are hospitalized to have a new and exciting reason to be in bed, but children all over the world will want to hurriedly get ready for bed and cover up with "Sheet Tales, "Story-Time Comforters and Story Spreads.
Children may very well dream themselves right inside the books!
The funds will be used to make prototypes, hire friends and family to help put the prototype together, hiring a screen printer, purchasing supplies, and any additional work and products that will bring "Sheet Tales, "Story-Time Comforters and Story Spreads" to fruition. I am also considering adding a CD that plays the reading of the book and even bedtime songs! Any additional funding raised, will go towards studio time, CD label, and CD's.

Accomplishing this would put me on a mission to help children temporarily escape into a "think outside of the box" bedtime adventure! At the same time, these sheets, comforters and spreads will become tools that will help your children grow in literacy, love, and laughter as they drift off to sleep. My mission is for my stories to be your children’s favorite books to lay down and cover up with.
My sheets are aligned around a city to city strategy called “Go to sleep, covered with Mrs. Annie's Story Sheets!” I want you and your city to be on this adventure with me. I want my sheets, comforters and spreads to inspire your children to take a book to bed, and tickle their creative minds, and allow their imaginations to run as far it will take them as they sleep. I know a lot of you encourage your child/children to develop a good reading routine. You will have the satisfaction of knowing your child is somewhere curled up in a corner, rocking on the porch swing, lying across their bed, sitting under a tree or sitting in your lap with their "Sheet Tales, Story-time Comforter or Story Spread" reading a unique, warm, refreshing, diverse, thought provoking, and wholesome book, rather than getting into mischief.
Just saying how grateful I would be, would be an understatement. It would mean the world to me knowing I have discovered a unique way to put a book, back into the hands of the children of the future.
