She Grapples Leukemia

Braedyn is a true fighter in every sense of the word. Even though she is literally grappling leukemia, she manages every day to find a reason to smile. She is so nurturing and selfless. Her personality leaves a sparkle in her wake and not a life that has crossed her path has been left untouched by her genuine sweetness. It has never been more true to say of anyone that she is an angel among us.

We were very unexpectedly and suddenly hit with the decline in her health. Her diagnosis of leukemia still has an element of shock for us. It was confirmed early in July 2023 and the intensity of the treatment commenced immediately. We didn’t wait to ask for prayers. Within 3 days of her diagnosis, we were admitted to the hospital, central access obtained, and chemotherapy started.

She tolerated the initial treatment as well as could be expected thanks to God’s gracious hand holding her and prayers surrounding her. Within a week, we were home only to be readmitted days later with another physical complication of an extensive blood clot. Since this has begun, every day has brought new and unanticipated challenges. She never complains of her pain or discomfort. She tells us she doesn’t want anyone to worry about her. God has given her a strength of spirit to fight this battle that leaves us in awe.

Not a day goes by that we are not touched by her beautiful heart that never fails to face the day with love and acceptance for the journey she is on. We believe God is carrying her through this time and walking alongside her every step of the way. It has been a blessing to have been touched by a community of friends and family that have covered our beautiful girl in the heavenly blanket of prayer.

We were stunned to find out the course of Braedyn's treatment will continue for a minimum of 2 1/2 years. We humbly ask you to consider helping provide us with financial support. Your contribution would be utilized to subsidize medical, travel, nutritional, and household expenditures that have arisen and continues to develop since Braedyn's diagnoses and treatment has begun.
