Sheila Ellerbe Mott's Fight
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Teresa Mott Murphy and I along with my sister, Julie Mott Hetherington are raising funds on behalf of our Mother Sheila Ellerbe Mott, as our parents are on a fixed income. Mom was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in 2017, which is a disease that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart. Mom has been on oxygen since September 2017 and her condition has progressively worsen.
Recently on July 28, 2023, mom's oxygen level dropped to 34 and she was rushed to Lakeland Regional Medical Center where she stayed until she was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital where she was undergoing a lot of testing. We received heartbreaking news that mom is not a candidate for a lung transplant because she has plaque on her heart, her carotid artery is 55% blocked and her kidneys are slow. Mom is going to be under Hospice care. Although Hospice is a non-profit organization, there are already many costs such as hospitalization, medicines, and travel.
We sincerely appreciate those of you who have taken time to read this, say a prayer, or donate. Any amount is helpful and appreciated so much.
With Gratitude and Love,
Sheila's family
