Save Sheila!
Donation protected
Sheila's brush is behind us for another year, but a small group of citizens still have Sheila on our minds and we need your help!
The Sheila's Brush mural, by artist Helen Gregory, was an iconic part of downtown St. John's for thirty years, enjoyed by countless locals and visitors going down Harbour Drive. But times changed, and this special mural was taken down recently to make way for corporate signage. A small group of proactive folks thankfully rescued the mural and connected with community-minded business G.J. Shortall Ltd. to store it safely.
We think this mural deserves another chance! With approval from Helen Gregory, a small group of volunteers is organizing to restore the mural and hang it back up. We're fundraising to cover the costs to complete the restoration. That's where you come in! Donations of any size are requested to cover the costs to get Sheila back to looking her best and in a place of honour again.

If you have questions or would like to assist in some way beyond donating here, please contact Sarah Ferber through Instagram @sheilas_brush30. We will be looking to partner with a local business or agency in the downtown area willing to give the mural a new home on a wall that is visible to the public and handy to the harbour.
