Shayne Hodges, the mother of Shelby Jewel, is experiencing every parent’s worst nightmare. Lastnight, Shelby unexpextedly passed away from a sudden medical emergency at the age of 21. Just one day following Thanksgiving, when Shelby was lighting up the room, dancing and laughing with her family, they are now facing a tradegy. Due to Shelby’s underlying disability, life-insurance providers wouldn’t insure her. Given the circumstances and Shayne’s need for extended time off from work, Shayne and her family will face financial hardship.
