Shelby Moyler Aid After Accident

On October 5, 2022 Shelby Moyler's life was changed forever.

On that day, Shelby suffered devastating injuries when a car she was a passenger in was involved in an accident.

The car she was traveling in ended up upside down in a yard in the Rosemont Road area of Virginia Beach.

After being extracted from the destroyed vehicle, as result of the efforts of Virginia Beach Fire Department and Rescue, she was transported to Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Shelby remains in the hospital, where she is receiving treatment for multiple level fractures she suffered to her spine. In addition to the severe injuries Shelby suffered to her neck and back, the accident resulted in a number of other injuries including crushing injuries leaving her with seven rib fractures with associated damage to a lung. Shelby's left ear was nearly severed in the accident and she had other injuries to numerous to list.

For Shelby to heal, keep her home for her two daughters Kylee, 15, and Moni 13, we are asking for help.

Shelby will need to stay in the hospital as she gains strength in being able to stand, walk, sit, and lay. Staff is helping her take on new goals each day, however the prognosis is long, with many obstacles ahead of her.

While we cannot speed this up, we know utilities and mortgages expect their dime on time. Please, if you can donate, do. Her daughters are staying with a close friend and we need to make sure they are taken care of during Shelby's transitions and after.
