Hello everyone, I’m coming on here again because unfortunately my baby girl Shelby has relapsed. We are so devastated, angry, overwhelmed, and scared. Shelby was in remission for about 8 months and went on her make-a-wish trip last week. Saturday while I was as work Shelby sent me a picture of her leg and it was covered in little red dots (petechiae) and my heart dropped. I got a text from my mom who was watching Shelby and her brother Cooper to call her ASAP. So I called and Shelby had also gotten a nosebleed and I knew something was wrong. I called her on call cancer clinic doctor and she told me to bring her to INOVA emergency room so they could do blood tests. By 2am they had told me the blasts in her blood had come back. I went to the bathroom and screamed. I of course told Shelby the next morning she had cancer again. She cried and kinda fell in my arms why me again mom and I going to be ok? This of course broke my heart I said yes you will beat this again. Because she Shelby has relapsed she will definitely need a bone marrow transplant. Me and her brother got tested today we will find out if one of us is a match in a few weeks. I’m making this GoFundMe like last time because I’ll be with Shelby every single step and I’ll have to take an unpaid leave of absence for work and I’m my kids only income.
