Shelby's fight against Thyroid Cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Ashlee Miller, and my loving best friend Shelby has been diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. This was a complete shock as prior to this she was healthy until this past year when she began experiencing vague symptoms. She recently developed a fast-growing mass on her thyroid and knew something was wrong. She had a thyroid ultrasound and biopsy which confirmed her diagnosis of Papillary Thyroid Cancer. She will require a total thyroidectomy with the possibility of adjuvant chemo/radiation therapy, as well as multiple doctor visits, laboratory work, and imaging studies. 

Shelby is married to her wonderful husband Derek and they have three small children, Luke (6), Noah (3), and Ainsley (2). Shelby has been a Registered Nurse in multiple hospital settings since 2013 and has always had a true desire to help others in need. She currently stays at home with her kids who have special needs as Noah has hearing loss, and Ainsley has a form of autism. This requires her to spend all of her time focused on her kids and taking them to therapy several days a week. Derek is a licensed counselor and is the sole provider of the family. I am asking if you would please consider donating to help cover medical costs. The mental burden alone of being a mom of three young children and going through this is hard enough. I am raising money to help relieve the financial stress she and Derek will have to face.
