Shelley's Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Shelley was diagnosed with the big "C". Breast cancer for the 2nd time in 5 years. Stage 3,  HER2 aggressive CA. Our plan is to alleviate some of the financial stress...just one less burden in the great fight ahead for our girl. Heal her and get her back doing her job, loving life.

Please consider helping Shelley through this crisis period through your prayers and to whatever financial extent you are able.  Any little bit helps and we're so grateful!

THIS  HAS KEPT HER FROM WORKING...HER WELL HAS RUNNETH DRY...PLEASE IF SHELLEY IS PLACED ON YOUR MIND, SHE REALLY NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW!  YOUR AFFORDABLE DONATION TO KEEP HER HEAT ON AND RENT PAID WOULD MAKE A HUGE IMPACT DURING HER TREATMENTS.

Our fundraising goal is based on the hope of speedy healing and return to work for Shelley. We will be posting periodic updates so that you can follow her progress. Make sure to leave Shelley words of encouragement as she continues to fight!

WE THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEART!!

A little background, Six years ago  I was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma Incyto. It was a shock to me as we had no history of breast cancer in our family.  Within two weeks, I was in a nine hour surgery which successfully removed all of the cancer and lean nodes. Most women are home in two days. I was a guest of my local hospital for another six due to complications with medication.  After weeks of chemotherapy this summer with some super unhappy complications of a bacterial infection, neuropathy in my feet nausea and dehydration, I had surgery in October to remove the tumor and lymph nodes.  My treatment continues now with radiation therapy over the next several weeks.

BUT, cancer just isn't about health and wellness. It is also about the inability to work. As a single woman, that adds stress to my life in ways I did not anticipate. Cancer is a tough fight. And it takes 100% focus to achieve wellness.

Breast cancer fund raising is represented by a cheery pink ribbon. I’m here to tell you, pink isn’t always pretty. Caring for myself after surgery was exhausting. In addition to recovery there were tubes and draining and another surgery for reconstruction…

After multiple biopsies, the pathology came back positive. I found myself on the floor in wide-eyed shock when I heard my doctor recommend a double mastectomy.

This time, the tumor was identified as HER2+ cancer, which I was told was difficult to treat, but it IS treatable.

After weeks of chemotherapy this last summer with some super unhappy complications of a bacterial infection, neuropathy in my feet. nausea and dehydration, I had surgery in October to remove the tumor and lymph nodes.

Shelley's treatment continues now with radiation therapy over the next several weeks and a fight to keep infections at bay.
