Shelly Holder's Hospitalization and Recovery
Donation protected
Shelly Holder was our Minister of Youth at St. Luke UMC in Hartsville, SC for many years and is currently Minister of Youth and Children at First United Methodist Church Lancaster, SC. Shelly is also a dear friend who was seriously injured recently in a car accident in Birmingham, AL. Below is from her Facebook post explaining her situation:
"My trip to Texas for Christmas was an eventful one. Mom and I had a car accident on December 22nd outside of Birmingham, AL. Mom has bruises and lacerations and is very sore but is recovering. My dog, Bella was with me and she is ok. Mom and Bella are back in Columbia, SC staying with my Aunt Janet and cousin Tracy.
As for me I have been in the hospital in Birmingham since the accident. My injuries involve my right side and include my ankle knee and shoulder. I am moving to inpatient rehab today to spend a couple of weeks. My sweet sister Shelby has been right here by my side since the accident.
God's presence is so apparent to me and I know that I am in God's healing hands. I covet your continued prayers in this time of recovery."
We're in the process of setting up a team to help collect funds for medical and rehabilitation expenses for Shelly and her mother. Please consider contributing to the fund and please share this page link with your friends who know and love Shelly. Our Dear Shelly has touched the lives of so many of us; now it's our turn to help her!
