Sunday, June 17th the Houghton County Floods left its historical mark affecting nearly all of its community. Among those affected was the Peltier Family home on Coles Creek Road.
Access to Coles Creek Road is still unavailable by vehicle. The family started to assess the situation & retrieved their vehicles from the sink holes surrounding their home to learn both were out of commission. The basement & all its contents have been destroyed including all the electrical work, large equipment (lawn mowers/deep freezers/fridge/tools etc) & hundreds of irreplaceable family keepsakes and memories. A tree fell on the garage, the yard & driveways were washed away. Currently the basement of the home continues to refill with water.
